Cyber Security – it won’t happen to me!

The presentation will discuss how cyber security has nothing to with technology. John will dive into the size of the problem, what cyber security really means to small and medium business and go over some recent attacks to show you what a cyber-attack could look like for your business. He will leave you with practical steps to start improving your cyber security posture and end with an interactive piece on passwords. No technical jargon.

John Mc Loughlin – is the Group CEO and founder of J2 Software, a managed cyber security services provider. John is a certified Data Privacy specialist with a passion for helping businesses do better business in a modern world. He knows that every business is a digital business today and we must provide equal access to real cyber resilience services to businesses of all sizes.

J2 was founded in 2006 and has grown from a 2 person operation, sharing a desk in a warehouse in South Africa, to an organisation that serves more than 750 customers on 5 continents with offices in London and Johannesburg, with further growth planned to Australia in 2026.
