We bring together senior officials from Wandsworth Council and other experts to make sure you get critical business support information to help you and your business.

This Forum will feature an introduction from Cllr. Kemi Akinola, Deputy Leader, Wandsworth Council/ Cabinet Member with responsibility for Business. We will also hear about other business support initiatives from Susan Shaw, Economic Development Office at Wandsworth Council.

David Henry, Financial Planner at Sylva Financial Planning

ABOUT:

Running a business can be all consuming, and the demands on your time can naturally mean that you can neglect your personal affairs.

Manging your financial position need not be excessively time consuming, but it is important to spend some time budgeting and planning to ensure that your finances are in order. David understands that time is your most precious commodity, but devoting a similar level of diligence to your personal affairs, as you do your business’ finances, will return a strong investment on time.

David will share some of the practical guidance that he has given to clients, who are also business owners, over the years.

Originally with a legal background, David has worked for two large UK wealth managers during the past thirteen years providing discretionary investment management services to hundreds of families around the UK.

During the course of his career, he has developed a growing interest in financial planning and a desire to provide a wider service to clients than just investment management. In 2023 he therefore chose to qualify as a Certified Financial Planner™, an internationally recognised standard of professionalism amongst financial advisers.

The Panel for the Q&A opportunity will include our speaker and members of the Economic Development Office at Wandsworth Council. You will have an opportunity to direct questions to our panel, hear questions from other business owners, share strategies and suggestions. The session will be recorded.
