Join us online for an informative and interactive session where we will answer all your questions about our heritage boxes designed for individuals with dementia. Learn about the importance of reminiscence therapy and how these boxes can help stimulate memories and spark conversations.
Wandsworth Council invites organisations working with people living with dementia to express interest in participating in our Heritage Boxes for Dementia programme between November 2025 and January 2027. This initiative offers a unique opportunity to host remembrance sessions using curated memory boxes filled with heritage objects from the Wandsworth Heritage Collection, spanning from the 1950s onwards.
Wandsworth Heritage Collection Boxes for Dementia, in partnership with the University of Roehampton and local organisations, will bring Wandsworth’s rich heritage collection into care homes and community spaces. These bespoke interactive time capsules — filled with sensory objects, archive materials, and recordings — will be used to spark connection, trigger memories, and support wellbeing for people living with dementia
This is a London Borough of Culture project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund.
