Who we are

The Worker’s Educational Association has been providing

high-quality educational opportunities to communities since

1903. Our vision is for a better world: equal, democratic and

just; through adult education the WEA challenges and inspires

individuals, communities and society.

The WEA Women@Work project aims to dismantle the barriers

woman face caused by:

  • rural isolation
  • poverty
  • inequality

And to give women a voice:

  • in the home
  • at work
  • and in the community, both locally and nationally.

We have seven W@W network areas across the Highlands, each

with a local coordinator who organises events in their area.

The seven network areas are:

  • Caithness
  • Sutherland
  • Ross-shire
  • Skye & Lochalsh
  • Lochaber
  • Inverness
  • Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey

Our workshops and events are free to attend.

SAVE THE DATE - Our annual conference will take place in

Nairn on 8 March 2017, International Women's Day.

The Women@Work project is funded by the

Scottish Government Voluntary Action Fund.
