In 2023, Leeds became a Fast Track City and pledged its commitment to reaching zero new HIV, TB and viral hepatitis transmissions by 2030. This informative online webinar will enhance your understanding of HIV, TB and viral hepatitis and how you can help to improve health outcomes in Leeds.
The session will cover:
- what the Fast Track City initiative is and the ambitions for Leeds
- information on HIV, TB and viral Hepatitis including prevention, testing, signs and symptoms and available treatment
- the importance of addressing the negative impacts of stigma and discrimination against affected populations - you will hear the lived experiences of people affected by these conditions in Leeds
- how you can support individuals who have contracted or are at risk of contracting these diseases in Leeds
Whether you work in health promotion, social care or community outreach, this webinar will provide you with relevant information and practical tools to play a role in prevention and treatment efforts.
