Criatura takes over Waran's Fine Art with This is Tenta
Waran's Fine Art is proud to announce This is Tenta, a provocative new solo exhibition by the enigmatic and celebrated artist Criatura. Known for his distinctive contemporary surrealism and iconic tentacled characters, Criatura returns to London to present his latest body of work. This is Tenta will be on display at Waran’s Fine Art Galler in Fulham, Chelsea from Thursday 2nd October 2025 to Friday 28th November 2025, inviting viewers to delve into a vibrant world where the familiar and the fantastical collide.
In This is Tenta, Criatura continues his exploration of emotion, chaos, and pop culture through layered symbolism and his signature tentacled figures. This new collection pushes his aesthetic further, creating a compelling narrative that juxtaposes the vibrant energy of life against the darker undertones of the unknown. The work is a masterclass in duality, a theme previously explored in his exhibition for the Mexican Embassy celebrating the Day of the Dead, where he contrasted the joyous aspects of celebration with the somber realities of death.
This exhibition builds on Criatura's reputation for audacious and high-concept projects, including his legendary 2023 "reverse heist" at the Tate Modern, where he challenged institutional norms by secretly installing his work in the gallery. With This is Tenta, Criatura shifts from guerrilla installation to a deliberate, immersive showcase, leveraging Waran's Fine Art's refined Chelsea space to create an unforgettable experience for collectors and new audiences alike.

Criatura is a Miami-based pop-surrealist artist whose work is instantly recognizable for its fusion of vibrant colours, pop culture references, and unique tentacled motifs. A true disruptor, Criatura’s journey is one of unconventional triumphs, from painting luxury cars to his viral performance art projects. He has exhibited internationally, including at prestigious fairs like Frieze London and Art Basel Miami.
