Starts: 10:20 at Fox House Inn SK 267 803

Travel: Meet leader at D2 in Sheffield Interchange at 09:30 to catch 09:40 271 bus to Fox House

Parking: At Fox House on the wide road verge or in the NT car park at Longshaw

Description: This walk was devised to commemorate the life of GHB (Bert) Ward, founder of the Sheffield Clarion Ramblers Club in 1900 – thought to be the first working class Rambling Club in the country. The walk is around Ward’s local area and the moors he loved. It passes his home of many years at Storth House in Homesfield. Copies of the newly published Clarion Call book will be on sale for £5 on the day.

Terrain: Paths over moorland and through woodland and some country lanes
