Warhammer 40,000 - Doubles Game Day

Welcome to Wayland Games Centre's 24-team 10th Edition Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Game Day! Whether you are looking for your first game day or you are battle-hardened, come and join us for three 2000-point rounds on 15th June.

Please note:

• Tickets are £25 and are for a full 2-player team
• Tickets are only available from Eventbrite
• The Army List submission deadline is 1st June at midday.

Overview

Battle Size: 2,000 points with 1,000 points appointed per player

Board Size: 44 inches x 60 inches

Missions: Strike Force Missions from the Leviathan Tournament Companion.

No. of Games: Three

Game Length: 2 hrs 45 mins.

Teams are required to bring with them

• 2 x 1,000-point legal battle-ready forces.
• All relevant rules for their army.
• 2 copies of their army list; one for the TO and one to be presentable to any opponent on request.
• A copy of 10th Edition Core Rules.
• A copy of Leviathan Mission Pack.
• Dice, tape measure/range finder, and any markers that are required.

Army List Submission

Every team taking part in the game day must send a full and complete army list to hockleyevents@waylandgames.co.uk by midday 1st June. This gives our team time to go through all army list submissions prior to the event.

Rules

Any publication released less than 14-days/2-weeks before the event is not valid during this tournament.

Certain House Rules will be applied to the event. These are there for fairness to all players but will be discussed and agreed on by all participants before the first round commences. These house rules include placement of objective markers, terrain heights, and setup dice rolls.

We will be using a point deduction system and any instances of rule-breaking, time-wasting (extreme slow play), incorrect army list, and unsportsmanlike conduct will each see the deduction of 1 tournament point at the end of the event.

Army List Note: If your Army list is not easily readable by the Tournament Organiser you will be deducted 1 tournament point at the end of the event. Also, Army Lists made on Battlescribe will not be allowed and will be required to be rewritten.

Conversion Note: Proxies/conversions are welcome as long as both players agree to what it is meant to be and the player has any and all appropriate data cards and rules. No homebrews are allowed, however.

Failure to give us warning if you are running late, will end in forfitting your position in the Game Day.

All remaining monies raised through ticket sales (minus that used for fees) will be used for a player raffle! Items may change but will be available to view at the tournament.

About the Venue

• Free Parking.
• Wheelchair Accessible.
• Only food and drink purchased on the premises can be consumed at the venue. Luckily we have a fully licensed bar with a range of (hot and cold) drinks, snacks, and (hot and cold) food available.

• All attendees must be in possession of a valid ticket upon registration.

• Event details and timings are subject to change and should be checked prior to travelling.

• Wayland Games may cancel or vary the Event (in whole or in part) due to events or circumstances beyond our control. Where we cancel the Event in its entirety, you will be offered a full refund. However, in all other circumstances (including where we make changes to the Event), you will not be offered a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

• Purchased tickets cannot be transferred or resold without the express permission of Wayland Games.

• Tickets can be refunded after purchase, as long as it is at least 7 days prior to the event taking place. This does not affect your statutory rights.

• If you are no longer able to attend the Event and wish to discuss this with us, please contact the Centre at hockleyevents@waylandgames.co.uk.

• No children under the age of 18 years will be admitted to the Centre unless accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 years or over. Wayland Games takes no responsibility for children under the age of 18, responsibility shall remain with the parent or guardian of the relevant child at all times. Accompanying adults do not need their own ticket for the Event if they intend to purely act in a supervisory role.

FAQ

Please find below some frequently asked questions regarding this tournament. These may be added to.

Can I give unused points from my roster to my teammate?

No, the 1000 points are allocated to each individual roster and points may not be shared.

Can each player use a different faction?

Yes, each player may use a different faction.

If we were picking from the same faction, can we each use different chapters?

A team may choose to use two armies from the same Faction that use different Faction Keywords from each other. Each army chosen will also have to be from a different chapter within the Faction.

Should each team member have its own Warlord allocated?

Yes, each player should have its own Warlord and BOTH Warlords count as such on the table for all rules purposes.

Are teams allowed to use the same Relic and Warlord Traits?

No, Relic and Warlord Traits are unique and may only be used once per team.

Can myself and my teammate use the same Unique units?

No, any Unique units can only be included once in a team.

Can we use Legends units?

No, we have made the decision (following Games Workshop's decision) to not allow Legends units at our competitive events in an effort to keep tournaments as balanced as possible.

Do armies need to be fully painted?

Although we encourage players to bring painted armies, we do understand that this is not always possible. You do not have to bring fully painted armies to this event and no points will be deducted.
