About this event

Please bring a yoga mat, one (head) or two (for low back support) pillows or cushions and a blanket. You may choose to bring an eye mask too.

What happens in this session?

You are eased away from your busy day with a meditation around breath and body awareness. Helping you to distract and calm your busy minds. The sound instruments are a great focus, clearing the mind and creating a deep sense of inner calm.

All you have to do is lay down, close your eyes and relax for nearly a full hour. Easy! Selfcare, self love and self worth are at the centre of 'YOU' time. Allowing you space to recharge and look after your mental and physical wellbeing. A powerful way to calm the mind and the nervous system.

Why sound?

Sound has been used as a calming therapy for thousands of years across many cultures. My instruments include gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, singing bowls, rain makers.

The benefits of a sound bath are a calm mind, reduced physical tension, lowered stress, managed anxiety, improved sleep and a deep feeling of wellbeing.

You are then talked through easy to follow relaxation meditation, calm mindfulness and slow breathwork. 

Parking

Drive into the Warren Dell school entrance, then continue through the normal car park and park in the playground at the back of the school grounds. The door to the school hall, where the class is taking place, is opposite this car park.

What should I bring?

A blanket Wear layers of clothing, weather depending. One pillow for under your head. Maybe another pillow for under your knees (Supports lower backs). A yoga mat or another full length mat. A bottle of water is optional Eye mask is optional

Will it go against the values of my own religion?

Sound baths and meditations are for everyone. They are not linked to any religion. Deep relaxation, wellbeing and self connection is essential for all humans.

Are there physical restrictions?

Laying down is recommended, but you are welcome to sit or lay in any position that is most comfortable for you. You are welcome to bring a fold up portable chair. There may be chairs available for use at the venue too. There is one or two steps into the venue.

Health conditions

If you have any health concerns (heart conditions, epilepsy etc), please make sure you make the session facilitator aware. If you have asthma or high allergy please bring your inhaler/EpiPen to the class. You must not attend if you have any contagious illness and must consult your GP if concerned.

Is there an Age Restriction?

Mindfulness is of course unlimited to anyone, but will not hold the attention of younger children. You are welcome to book/pay for an older child or teen if they can focus quietly for 1 hour - but a responsible adult must be present with them for the duration.

Can I obtain a Refund?

Sorry, but this is a no-refund ticket. However you are welcome to send someone else in your place. As long as they let me know they are replacing you and if they have any health conditions.

A sound bath is an mind and body calming class where soothing musical instruments are played. At the end of a group sound bath session you will feel less stressed, have a calmer mind and a sense of inner wellbeing.

You must bring a yoga mat or similar, one or two pillows/cushions and a blanket. The you then just lay (or sit) down, close your eyes and do nothing for a full hour. Easy!

At the end of a class you will feel less stressed, have a calmer mind and a sense of inner wellbeing. This level of relaxation can lead to reduced stress/ anxiety levels and tension caused physical discomfort, increased joyfulness and improved sleep patterns.

The sounds of the calming instruments are a wonderful distraction for busy minds.
