Event description

Description

The Warrington BES requires all Warrington GP Practices to do two clinical audits yearly. This could be quite challenging and the agreed way to achieve this will be to use an audit tool such as GRASP. It will be an easy and sustainable way to meet your BES requirements.

GRASP is free software from NHS England. It is very easy to use once you understand how it works. Providing training on how to use this will be invaluable to your practice. It provides summary of patients that you would need to code, treat and review in a few simple steps. It interrogates your clinical system, enabling them to improve the management and care of patients. Overall, it will improve the care your practice provides for your patients, your chronic disease prevalence, pounds per point and overall QoF achievement.

The Training

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

In order to get maximum benefit from the training, it would be preferable for attendees to bring the following to the session:

  1. A colour print out of the dashboards (summary view) for your own practice for both GRASP AF and Diabetes Care
  2. A practice (encrypted) laptop with CHART installed and both the GRASP AF and Diabetes tools installed ~ Advance notice has been given to IT services that assistance may be required if installation restrictions are in place on the practice laptops.
  3. Pseudonymised data responses for both GRASP AF and Diabetes should be loaded into CHART on the laptops*

*When preparing your MIQUEST queries in CHART you are asked whether you want pseudonymised data, named data or both. Please ensure you have run a pseudonymised set for this session.

This second training session from PRIMIS will summarise the first session on installation and running and will then focus on analysis and interpretation of results; training users on how to generate bespoke lists of patients for review and planning next steps.

If you require further assistance with CHART or running the MIQUEST queries, please contact the PRIMIS helpdesk Mon-Fri 9am-1pm on 0115 846 6424 or email helpdesk@primis.nottingham.ac.uk

**Please note, parking for this event is free, but please remember to give your registration at reception.
