Warwickshire Poetry Voices NEW workshop programme at Rugby Library
Sat 21 January 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 GMT
New Poetry Voices workshop programme to launch autumn 2016 at Rugby Library.
Warwickshire Poetry Voices is delighted to be launching a brand new self-guided workshop programme this autumn at Rugby Library.
This six-month workshop programme is open to all Warwickshire residents (aged 13yrs and above), with the invitation to spend time in a local library discussing, reading and performing a wide range of published poetry. Each month group members will explore the work of one poet whose collection can be found in the library catalogues. Classic and contemporary poets such as Thomas Hardy, Maya Angelou and local West Midlands poet Liz Berry all feature in the upcoming programmes, providing participants with a broad range of poetry to explore. The programme will conclude with an exciting live performance event in the library featuring workshop members.
Workshops will be FREE to attend and will start from September 2016 running until Spring 2017.
Come and meet new people, learn new skills and read, discuss and perform poetry in a relaxed, supportive and friendly environment. No experience necessary.
