Event description

Description

Learn about the array of edible springtime plants and mushrooms growing all around us in the UK in the historic village of Baginton, near Coventry, Warwickshire. On this walk, you'll discover how to identify some commonly growing foods to forage for, and hints on where to look.

When we meet up, we will go through the basics of foraging before heading out to discover the wild food in the area.

During the walk, I will introduce you to a number of edible species, giving you tips on harvesting, correct identification, and recipe ideas. You'll also get to sample a range of tasty wild food treats, which could include soups, pestos, salts, pickles, syrups, cordials, jams, jellies, leathers, vinegars, and preserves, along the way.

Participants must be aged 18 or over.

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the course.
