Celebrate the Waste Not Want Not Project with Us!Join CaVCA (Coast and Vale Community Action) on Saturday 5th July, 2pm–4pm at The Street, Scarborough, for a special celebration marking the end of our Waste Not Want Not project.
This free event will showcase the incredible organisations, workshops, and community creativity that have brought the project to life. From sewing and growing to upcycling and traditional crafts, you’ll be able to explore the full journey of how we’ve revived heritage skills to build a more sustainable future.
Enjoy a free buffet (while it lasts!), explore hands-on activities and live demonstrations, and meet some of the amazing people behind the project, including:
- Yorkshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers
- A live Blacksmith Demonstration from Environmental Art
- Willow Weaving by Down2Earth
- Gardening activity with GROW Scarborough
- Creative displays from Crescent Arts
- Tips, advice and freebies from North Yorkshire Rotters
- Scarborough Repair Cafe
- And many more partners and workshop leaders from across the project
