Join MNH archaeologist Andy Johnson at Peel Castle for a guided tour tracing the history of coastal defence on the west coast—from the Viking era through to the Manx Rebellion of 1651 and beyond. Discover how this iconic fortress played a vital role in protecting the Island across centuries of conflict and change.

The tour lasts approximately 1 hour. Please wear sensible footwear and clothing for an outdoor walk on uneven ground.
