This talk will introduce the audience to the evolution of Scotland’s burgeoning ‘new-space’ industry from satellite manufacturing and spaceflight to quantum computing and in-space manufacture.

Mick O’Connor CEng CDir, founder of HAELO Consulting a company specialising in developing emergence sense-making software for complex regulated organisations. Forty years’ experience in shipbuilding, oil, petrochemical, defence, aerospace, construction, aviation, energy, and space. Currently Programme Director at Prestwick Spaceport, IoD Chartered Director Ambassador for West of Scotland, PhD candidate, Trustee of the Glasgow Incorporation of Hammermen and Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at Glasgow Caledonian University.
