Travel: 09:20 bus 61 from Arundel Gate to Low Bradfield. Note this is a linear walk though it is possible to return to your car from Hillsborough on the bus

Parking: The Sands car park Low Bradfield.

Cost: Free

Description: Visit to the site of the breach of the Dale Dyke dam, which burst in 1864 leading to the deaths of more than 250 people in the inundation, following its course down the Loxley Valley. It remains to this day one of this country’s largest man-made disasters

Terrain: Hilly terrain to start with then on quiet lanes and following course of river. Several stiles and steps. Likely to be muddy in places
