“Ways of Something” is a collaborative moving image artwork in four episodes, compiled and curated by Canadian artist Lorna Mills.

The artwork consists of 113 one minute long videos, each made by a different artist from around the world. Bringing together 3D rendering, animated GIFs, film remixes and mash-ups, webcam performances and websites the project highlights the cacophonous conditions of artmaking after the internet.

The film follows the narrative of John Berger’s 1972 BBC documentary “Ways of Seeing” but replaces the visuals with more contemporary imagery.
