Overview

An event as part of the exhibition Water: Resilience and Innovation for the Built Environment

We’re delighted to be hosting this half-day conference, bringing together experts from across the water and built environment sectors to explore how smarter design, efficient technology, and simple everyday actions can help buildings across the UK use water more wisely.

The event will kick off with a keynote speech, followed by specialist sessions on Ofwat’s Water Efficiency Fund, the very latest smart technologies, and cutting-edge research on behaviour change and the psychology behind our water-use habits.

The day will finish with a panel discussion with leading experts to discuss how innovation, collaboration and informed oversight, alongside individual actions, can help create buildings that are not just efficient, but truly water-wise.

Expert speakers joining us for the event include:

  • Nicci Russell, CEO, Waterwise
  • Jude Noro, Policy Lead – Water Resources, Ofwat
  • Dan Simmons, Managing Director, Quensus
  • Dr Pablo Pereira-Doel, Fellow of the Institute for Sustainability, University of Surrey
  • Prof Benjamin Gardner, Professor in Psychology, University of Surrey
