About this event

Watercolour Introduction Workshop for Beginners

Come and join our creative workshop led by award-winning illustrator Vencho Wang. In this 3.5-hour session, you will explore and learn professional watercolor techniques, including wet-on-wet, dry-on-dry, and Vencho’s unique technique using a sharpened chopstick for drawing.

Good tools are essential for painting, and we will guide you through the differences in various watercolor materials. This includes selecting suitable paper, mounting techniques, choosing pigments, and matching them with your brushes. We will also provide tips on using all the materials. Our workshop uses the highest quality painting materials available on the market, so you don't need to prepare any tools in advance.

Throughout the session, we'll guide you in recreating a painting, ensuring you grasp each step from sketching to inking, and ultimately to applying watercolor. We provide four landscape watercolour painting samples, allowing you to choose your preferred subject matter. Each sample focuses on specific techniques for practice.

To ensure teaching quality, each workshop accommodates a maximum of six participants.

By the end, you will have gained all the basic knowledge and skills necessary to create your watercolor landscape painting.
