Join us for a fun and creative gathering at the Stewart Memorial Fountain. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone who has ever dreamed of painting outdoors with watercolours. Bring your own supplies and meet fellow art enthusiasts for a day of painting, chatting, and inspiration.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and unleash your creativity in a beautiful outdoor setting.
You will need to bring:-
- Cadmium yellow, light red and French Ultramarine blue
- 1 x mop or hake, 1 x large round brush, 1 x sword liner or rigger
- watercolour paper 300g/140lb NOT or Rough surface
- water, pots, palette, board etc for plein air painting
- a towel or rag or kitchen roll
- dress according to weather and remember hydration.
Please note there is no wet weather contingency. Bring a brolly!
What you will learn:-
- laying a flat wash for your big beautiful blue sky
- lifting out techniques for clouds
- creating a soft focus background bokeh
- colour mixing strategies
The emphasis of this meet-up is having fun being creative. However, your host is very experienced, so if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.
