Are materials supplied?

Yes, paints, brushes, masking tape, water, paper are all supplied. Just turn up!

I've never painted before / it's been a long time since I last painted, is this for me?

Absolutely! Our tutor will help you with sketching out the composition, and show you each stage of the painting in a step by step process. No experience is necessary.

Is this workshop suitable for children?

This workshop is aimed at adults, but older children can come along if accompanied by a paying adult.

Perfect for beginners and intermediate watercolourists, our tutor will guide you step by step though the stages of producing a beautful painting of the River Tiber, Rome.

All materials are supplied, and light refreshments will be available.

Class Outline:

Welcome - overview of the session
Colour mixing, pigment vs water ratio and layering
Practical excercise looking particularly at brushstrokes
The main painting including composition, perspective and focal points
Throwdown and feedback

About your tutor: Andrea is a full time artist running her own practice as well as weekly art classes with Liverpool Independent Art School. She is a keen urban sketcher and paints in watercolour, oil and acrylics.
