Watercolour Portrait Painting Workshop
Tue 7 March 2017, 18:30 – 20:30 GMT
In this 2 hour workshop I’ll be introducing you to watercolour painting techniques and teach how to apply them when painting portraits.
In the first part of the workshop you'll learn basic facial anatomy and how to draw people, composition and how to approach portraits, some tips and tricks on where to start and how to make the painting work. For this part please bring a photo reference if you like (lots of inspiration photos will be provided on the day).
In the second part we will experiment with watercolours, explore different painting techniques and how to use colour while painting portraits.
This workshop is a great starting point and you will go away with knowledge to practice and develop your own unique style, suitable both for beginners and for people who want to develop their existing practice.
All materials are provided (Brush, Winsor and Newton watercolour set of 12 colours, watercolour paper, pencil, eraser), as well as snacks and a glass of wine.
We'll be painting in a wonderful indie shop We Built This City, located on Carnaby St, Soho, surrounded by beautifully designed products and illustrations, can't think of a more inspiring place to paint in!
Looking forward to painting portraits with you!
Tickets are not refundable.
