The Waterstones Croydon Book Group meets on the first Thursday of every month to discuss books in the cosy, friendly setting of Matthews Yard. Anyone is welcome to join - we read a wide range of books, including both fiction and non-fiction, so if you've always wanted to join a book group, why not come along and see what we've got to offer?
Here is what our year of reading looks like:
04-Feb: John Donne poetry
03-Mar: The Ice Twins, S. K. Tremaine
07-Apr: My Own Story, Emmeline Pankhurst
05-May: How To Be Both, Ali Smith
02-Jun: Do No Harm, Henry Marsh
07-Jul: Station Eleven, Emily St John Mantel
04-Aug: A Lady's Life If The Rocky Mountains, Isabella Bird
01-Sep: Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury
06-Oct: The Ghost, Robert Harris**
03-Nov: The Lonely Londoners, Samuel Selvon**
It's totally free to join in, but please only book a ticket ('current member' for people who have been before, 'new member' for newbies!) if you are able to come as I will use these numbers to make sure we have enough space on the night!
