Join us for a refreshing bike ride, specially designed for local residents who may be feeling socially isolated and connect with nature. As you ride along the beautiful waterways, you'll be part of a supportive community, sharing experiences and fostering new friendships.

This ride will be on 5th November setting off at 10.30 am and returning by 2.30 pm.
Start point: Victoria Embankment War Memorial Gardens ///actors.dinner.cult
Mid Point: Attenborough Nature Reserve centre
End Point : Victoria Embankment Car park ///month.lonely.closed
Victoria Memorial head along the rich scenery of the River Trent and leave the Embankment onto Riverside Way
- Leave Riverside Way and along Queens Drive we drop back onto the river which we follow to Beeston Marin
- From the Marina we join the cycle path that leads to the Attenborough Nature Reserve.
- Cycle through the nature reserve for about 4 miles, taking in the wildlife and scenic views.
- Stop for lunch and refreshments at the Nature Reserve Centre
- From the nature reserve, join the cycle path that leads back to Beeston Marina
- From the Marina join the Nottingham Canal path back to Trent Bridge and on to the Embankment Car Park to finish a Canal & River ride to remember
Distance:
- Distance: Approximately 10 miles
- Terrain: Flat, off-road tracks and trails
- Surface: Generally smooth, but some sections may have loose gravel or rough surfaces
- Signage: Follow signs for local cycle paths and nature reserve trails
The whole ride should take approx 4 hours with breaks

Wear suitable cycling gear, including a helmet and gloves.
Be mindful of pedestrians and other cyclists on the shared paths.
Follow local cycling rules and regulations.
Bring water and snacks as needed.
This route should provide a pleasant and relatively flat ride for intermediate cyclists, taking in the scenic views of Nottingham's parks and canal. Enjoy your ride!
Level Rating : Level Rating: Easy, enabling route with reasonable fitness required to complete. This is a good enabler route for intermediate riders.
Participant Requirements:
Participants are required to have their own roadworthy bike & water bottle. They should also be sufficiently experienced and competent traveling upon varying roads and pathways including uneven unmetalled surfaces in a controlled and diligent manner.” Snacks are recommended.
