Frequently asked questions

Will I be expected to speak or introduce myself?

Yes. Visitors get 60 seconds to introduce themselves: just your name, your business, and the type of person or client you're looking to meet.

Can I bring business cards or marketing materials?

Absolutely. Business cards are encouraged and may be shared with members and other visitors during open networking.

Will I get to meet everyone in the room?

Not formally, but there is open networking time before and after the meeting where you can introduce yourself, swap cards, and connect.

Can I follow up with people after the meeting?

Yes. Many connections are strengthened after the meeting through one-to-ones or follow-up calls. Feel free to reach out to anyone you connected with.

How should I prepare to network effectively at the meeting?

Come with a clear and concise introduction, plenty of business cards, and an idea of who you'd like to meet (ideal clients or referral partners). Listening is just as important as sharing.

What kind of people attend these meetings?

You’ll meet professionals from a wide range of industries: mostly decision-makers, business owners, and service providers who are active in their local business community.

Is it okay to invite someone I meet for a coffee or one-to-one after the meeting?

Yes. In fact, one-to-ones are a powerful way to build relationships after the meeting. Most members are open to it.

Can I network if my business overlaps with someone else’s?

Yes, as a visitor you're welcome to connect and learn. Just be respectful if someone else already represents a similar service.

Is the networking structured or casual?

It’s a mix. There’s a formal agenda with set times to speak, but also casual networking before and after where you can have natural conversations.

What’s the best way to make a good impression?

Be authentic, clear, and interested in others. Focus on relationships over selling, and try to offer value—whether it’s a helpful insight, connection, or simply a good conversation.
