Join art historian Lucy Brouwer, the creator of the Nottingham Watson Fothergill Walk for a new walk. Explore the early buildings of architect Fothergill Watson, who later changed his name to Watson Fothergill, in his hometown of Mansfield.
What connects Fothergill to the Mansfield Brewery? What remnants of his upbringing remain? How tall is that impressive viaduct? Are the chimneys key to identifying his early works? We'll uncover the answers to these questions and more on this guided walk through the historic market town.

- Distance: Approximately 2.5 km
- Duration: About 2 hours
- End Point: The walk concludes at Ciao Bella Italian Restaurant, Nottingham Road, Mansfield. (Please make your own reservation if you wish to dine.) The finish point is conveniently located near Mansfield's bus and rail stations.
**Transportation Information:**
Buses and trains are available between Nottingham and Mansfield (e.g., the Pronto service via Ravenshead).
Car parking is available at Tesco on Chesterfield Road near the starting point (3-hour maximum) or at Church Street Car Park near the finish point (charges apply).
