Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs

Join us for a screening of Wave Goodbye to Dinosaurs, an inspiring documentary that tells the extraordinary story of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition (NIWC) - an all-female, cross-community political party formed in 1996 to ensure women's voices were heard in peace negotiations.

Through determined grassroots campaigning, they secured seats at the peace talks that led to the historic 1998 Good Friday Agreement. This powerful film highlights how women in Northern Ireland successfully fought for inclusion, equality, and human rights - and shows the importance of diverse voices in shaping a more peaceful future.

This event is organised to mark the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, a landmark commitment to ensuring women’s participation in peace processes worldwide.
