Dive into the dunes with us for a playful encounter called WAVELENGTH.
WAVELENGTH is a playful performance by Magic Acorns and a team of six artists. This is work-in-progress, and families with young children (0-3yrs) are invited to join us to explore how we can listen, move, and make noise together in the beautiful dunes. We can’t wait to see you there!
Where: We will be nestled in the dunes on North Beach. Walk down the boardwalk next to the public toilets on North Beach Drive. At the end of the boardwalk look to the left and you will see us there. We’ll be keeping an eye out for you! Here’s a map pin for the the start of the boardwalk. https://maps.app.goo.gl/LtFhXVM6y3tH2xx47
Access: Buggies can be pushed down the boardwalk easily. Be careful as some of the boards are a bit wobbly! Once you get to the end of the boardwalk it will be a bit trickier for buggies - but not impossible. We can help you, or you might choose to come without a buggy.
Parking: There is free on street parking north of the public toilets. South of the public toilets towards the Venetian Waterway is pay and display (and quite expensive!)
Weather: The weather is unpredictable - please prepare for wind, rain or sun! Check the forecast before you come. If the weather is really drastic (high winds or driving rain) we may change the venue at the late notice - we are asking for your mobile numbers during the booking process in case we need to contact you at short notice.
Photography and video: We will be taking photos and videos during WAVELENGTH. We will ask you at checkout if you give your permission and how we might use the images or video. We will check again when we see you on the day. Please know that consent is voluntary and will not affect your participation in any way. Our film artist Lewis is very good and if you would rather not be filmed we’ll let him know.
