Discover wax-carving

Join me for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of wax carving and create your own unique ring, pendant or pair of earrings.

Whether you arrive with a clear idea or are still figuring out what to make, you’ll be supported throughout the process. You’re encouraged to bring your own design, but if you need a helping hand, you can choose from a selection of simple templates to spark inspiration.

Wax is a wonderfully versatile material, making it perfect for bold designs and ideal for complete beginners as well as those with some creative experience.

From Wax to Metal

Once your wax model is complete, it will be sent to a trusted casting company where it will be transformed into solid metal using the ancient lost-wax casting technique.

When your piece returns from casting, I will clean and polish it up in my studio, ready for you to wear within 3–4 weeks — trust me, it’s worth the wait!

You can choose to have your piece cast in brass, sterling silver, or gold-plated silver. Please note that the cost of casting is not included in your workshop ticket and will be calculated afterwards based on the weight, size and metal you select.

Guidelines on pricing: Brass: £25+, Silver: £35+, Gold-plated silver: £45+

What to Bring

A couple of design ideas, if you have them - although inspiration will be available on the day.

Reading glasses, if you use them - you’ll be working at a detailed scale.

Clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy - wax carving is generally clean, but small mishaps can happen!
