Wax Carving Ring Workshop

Join us for the second edition of Megalith’s wax carving, ring making workshop 😍🔥🔗
Bring yourself and your friends, your cousin and bootycall, to Hackney Marshes on a sunny Monday May 6th (bank holiday) and chill in the sun or shade with us. We will teach you the basics of lost wax carving technique, for ring making, and let you plenty of time for discovery and improvisation. Although the workshop is oriented especially towards ring fabrications, it will also be possible to carve other shapes and jewels. Like pendants.
The workshop is for beginners, so if you already have medium or high carving skills you probably wouldn’t learn much new, but yes you would have fun :)
The ticket costs (£15) cover all the material (tools, waxes, knifes, polishing) and perhaps some of our labour for the workshop and the logistics afterwards. In fact, we will bring the rings you will make to a lab that will take care of the casting in the material you choose (usually silver, brass or gold). If you decide to go ahead with the casting, we will take care of the logistics but you will be in charge to cover your casting costs.
