About this event

How do you build strength and resilience? These inner muscles actually need to be exercised in order to develop the capacity and self-empowerment to get to know your body & feelings, as well as awareness of your own thoughts.

These sessions are facilitated by Selma Piro, who has a skill-set in therapeutic work (Dance Movement Psychotherapy), community development (including international development with UNICEF), safeguarding, public health (MSc in Applied Nutrition & Food Policy), as well as regeneration, timebanking, permaculture and management tools like Action Learning.

The Way of Wellness is the very beginning of identifying your innate qualities, and then sharing these strengths, which is how community is built. Wellness includes self-awareness in your personal environment (mentally, physically & emotionally), setting boundaries with others, knowing your own internal limits whilst developing inner strength and the ability to cope with the stresses of life. It's about starting to deepen your experience of yourself, having a better grounding in life, and being able to be more meaningfully engaged, in a way that leads to a sense of self and increased satisfaction.
