Description

This course will be run at the Globe Theatre centre in London during the day followed by standing tickets for the evening production Macbeth at the Globe. This course will offer a variety of creative ways to engage with language, character, themes and performance, which aims to provide students with unique opportunities to interact and engage with Shakespeare.

• Inspire and develop the teaching of Shakespeare plays to enhance classroom practice

• Learn skills to teach Shakespeare’s plays through ways of telling the story, exploring characters and what motivates them, language and verse and the themes of the plays

• Engage and enthuse pupils to explore the plays by removing the fear of accessing stories and language written 400 years ago

(This course will focus on Macbeth, but the techniques themselves can be applied across Shakespeare’s plays)

This particular production of Macbeth in the evening is specifically created for secondary school students as part of the Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank production at the Globe.

Course times are 12pm – 6pm with the evening show at 7pm (lunch is included in the day)
