To mark his 90th birthday, several new, exciting publications and his status as our ‘Author of the Month’ for November, we’re holding a special discussion and celebration of the life and work of the art critic, novelist, essayist, artist and activist John Berger. Taking part will be film-maker Sally Potter, novelist Tessa McWatt, artist and long-time correspondent of Berger John Christie, John Berger’s editor Tom Overton and the poet Amarjit Chandan. The evening will be chaired by Gareth Evans, curator of film at the Whitechapel Gallery.
Events usually take place at the London Review Bookshop at 14 Bury Place, or on occasion at other central London venues, so please check each individual listing.
