Run by Wayward as part of the In Bloom programme at Seed130
Join us for an interactive conversation that celebrates the movement, memory, and meaning of plants. Guests are invited to bring their own cuttings, seeds, and stories to contribute to the Wayward Plant propagations, a collaborative project that gathers and shares a living archive of plant journeys and exchanges. Together, we’ll reflect on how plants travel, connect communities, and embody personal and collective histories, while expanding this shared botanical network.
Wayward is an award-winning, socially engaged landscape practice with nearly two decades of experience in creative engagement and placemaking. Best known for pioneering meanwhile spaces, they design, curate, and activate community-focused, culturally vibrant green spaces that connect people through plants and stories.
Their long-running Wayward Plants initiative rescues trees, plants, and materials from the horticultural, landscape, and building industries, rehoming over 100,000 to more than 1,000 community and school gardens while diverting 500 tonnes of waste from landfill. This year, they launch the Wayward Plants Reuse Centre at Cultivate Colindale, a 4,000m² green hub for the circular economy.
