The UK circular economy taskforce presents practical steps to implement routemaps
A força-tarefa da economia circular do Reino Unido apresenta etapas práticas para implementar roteiros
Sector routemaps are pivotal in providing practical steps and solutions for governments to implement circularity, and for sectors to transition to a circular economy effectively.
This session will explore the routemaps being created by the UK’s Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) CE Taskforce as the government looks to implement practical steps for businesses, organisations and industries to implement circularity. Including key learnings and practical steps of what the Taskforce are doing, the challenges they’ve highlighted, and insights for implementation, this session is a one-stop shop for government bodies, senior officials and policy makers looking to build their own circular economy strategy or routemap.
The first of its kind from the British government, the speakers will bring new information from conversations around co-design, key findings from research so far and the next steps outlined to this session. By sharing this information, the Taskforce hopes to be a voice and example in assisting other governments and policy makers in their transitions to a circular economy.
Speakers and session agenda to follow soon!

Designed to facilitate targeted discussions that drive the implementation on the ground, the forum is free of charge, open to all online.
Organisers: The Circular Economy Institute was established to set the standard for circularity across all professions. It provides certification, webinars, training, events, community networking and publications to allow members to stay current on developments in circular practices. The Institute’s mission is to promote the highest standards of practice in the circular economy field. With 350+ alumni from the CEI, we continue the journey in building the strong leadership we need internationally to shift from liner models to circular infrastructures. We believe the transition to the circular economy is a solution to protect and promote the health of the people and the planet.
