About this event

A free knowledge sharing day that will offer an opportunity to share meaningful narratives to help inform our understanding and bring together the community to discuss contemporary issues affecting sanctuary seekers.

The day will include talks, presentations, panel discussions, a photographic exhibition and a performance by 'Ice & Fire - Exploring human rights stories through performance'.

Refreshments including a light lunch will be provided.

Events Access & Inclusivity

At York St John University we are committed to making our events as welcoming and inclusive for as many people as possible.

There are a total of four wheelchair accessible spaces in the Creative Centre auditorium which can be pre-booked on Eventbrite. Wheelchair spaces are located in pairs at the ends of row G on the ground floor of the Creative Centre. We regret that we cannot guarantee that companions can be seated next to wheelchair users.

Sign language interpreters and real-time captioning may be requested in advance. Please contact us as soon as possible (ideally at least 3 weeks before the date of the event) if you require either BSL interpretation or captioning. We will try our best but cannot guarantee provision.
