We Are Black Fish Hook Up

What we'll aim to do:

A quick beach clean up (5-10 mins) Bring gloves/ litter picker. We are passionate about looking after the land and the sea. Let's give back before we take.

Go through fishing gear and set up

Discuss bait selection

Casting: how to cast

What we catching?!: understanding fish species, size limits and behaviour.

We'll be cooking our 'catch' on the beach as we 'break bread' together.

What people should bring: Warm clothing, a chair/ blanket to sit on, flask for warm drink and water.

If you have your own fishing gear feel free to bring it. If not don't worry, we'll hook you up.

Hot drinks, food and toilets available near by at the Lazy Shack

The beach is a shingle beach with dips - it is not currently wheelchair accessible - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g503909-d3377007-Reviews-Fisherman_s_Beach-Hythe_Kent_England.html

Where: We wil meet you outside the Lazy Shack at 11am. We will be there for about 5 mins until we head to our destination which is on the beach to the right of the cafe if you're looking at the sea with the cafe behind you. Head towards the boats and you'll see us just past them. It's 2 mins walk from The Lazy Shack.

Be aware you might not actually catch a fish. We'll be focusing on learning how to fish and practising your technique.

NOT JUST ABOUT THE CATCH, BUT ALSO ABOUT THE CATCH UP

*Our promise is that all of our Hook Ups will be free, to make this possible we need your support. If you can afford to please consider giving us a small donation, the money goes directly towards supplies for our hook ups.
