Did you know that inter-generational activities can reduce loneliness and social isolation, boost mental
well-being and self confidence and provide an opportunity for all generations to feel valued?
We are Friends is a special inter-generational storytelling programme that will bring older
residents, under 5’s and their parents/guardians together - through storytelling and singing songs.
There’ll be puppets, instruments, colourful scarves and bubbles and you’ll all get a chance to create
new friendships across the generations.
● Are you a family with an under 5 who would like to come along and make friends with older people in the
community?
● Do you have an older relative or friend who might like to join you?
● Are you an older person who would like to come along to the story and rhyme sessions with the under 5's?
● Are you a care home who would like to bring some of your residents to meet the little ones?
If you answer yes to any of the questions above, then book your place and come along to join the fun!
