Event description

Description

March 11th 2018 will see a unique new event to help sailors do just this. It will be hosted by the Woolverstone Project in association with the Cruising Association. The Cruising Conference – entitled “We Do Mean To Go To Sea” - will be a one-day (9.30am – 5pm) celebration of cruising hosted at the Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Holbrook, Suffolk. All profits from the conference will go towards helping the Woolverstone Project (Charity No: 1046098) further its work in offering sailing opportunities for the disabled.

This event will be a first for the UK and will be an innovative new format designed to engage and enthuse cruising sailors. The day will be made up of a series of keynote speeches from well-known and prominent sailors including, among others, Paul Heiney and Dave Selby. Along with the keynote sessions, there will be a series of workshops. These will be 45 minutes in length and will cover a wide range of topics covering everything relating to cruising. We aim to cover a diverse range of European cruising destinations as well as cruising skills, cruising information and everything you need to know to help you prepare and maintain your boat. The aim is to offer most workshops several times during the course of the day to allow participants to choose their own pathway through the conference according to their interests.
