This workshops encourages you to be more spontaneous with your brushes. Common in Chinese and Japanese art is a bold freedom of brushstroke which brings life to a subject as painting and drawing overlap. Through a succession of experimental exercises gain the confidence to instinctively draw with paint rather than simply fill in a pre existing drawing. The workshop is challenging yet enjoyable - suitable for ages fourteen and upwards. Working from still imagery and film participants will need A3 cartridge paper, acrylic paints, a range of medium sized brushes, charcoal and a rubber.
