Event description

Description

Join John in a unique workshop dedicated to Wearable Technology. This is aimed at anyone that has no experience of working with wearable technology but wants to learn the basics.

In this workshop you will work with Arduino Lilypad components (LED's, conductive thread and a programmable base) to create a small circuit in which you can then use this technique in your work. You will create the circuit on a felt capline which has been blocked in a simple shape.

You will also write and code your own piece of software to enable the LED's to blink and flash to your own requirements.

All materials supplied in this workshop but you will need to bring a laptop with you to code your programme and upload to your piece.

Inside your kit you will recieve

Felt Capline

Lilypad Simple board

Clear LEDs

Slide Switch

Coin Cell Holder and battery

Light Sensor

Smooth Thread Bobbin - 12m (Stainless Steel)

There will be a 1 hour lunch break - bring luch with you or have a walk locally to find some lunch
