In 2016 the film "I, Daniel Blake" was only available for selected release at a handful of theatres around the country, however, the film company have now made it available Communities that missed out to enable a wider audience to see this iconic film and act as a catalyst for further discussion around the issues raised.
So! Here is your chance to be part of this Community screening and have a chat with your fellow residents.
Come along to the free screening of the Cannes festival Winner and Bafta nominated British film by Director Ken Loach which follows a middle-aged, blue-collar carpenter struggling to navigate the bureaucracy of the British benefits system after an injury leaves him unable to work.
The film will be shown twice over two sessions (day and evening) at the Salvation Army hub, Canada Grove in central Bognor Regis.
Please note, due to an R rating, under 17yrs will need to be accompanied by an adult.
This is a free event and in the spirit of the film we invite you to (if you wish) bring a tin or packet as donation to the Bognor Regis food bank.
Many thanks to the Picturedrome Cinema who have donated popcorn for these events.
