Event description
An artwork recreating weather conditions of the past and future years

About this Event

What would it be like to experience what today’s weather was in 1816? Or feel tomorrow in 2080? 'Weather the weather' is a sensorial artwork recreating weather conditions of past and future years. This four day journey begins with 1816: the year without summer, then 1904, when the link between fossil fuels and climate change was first made, through to 1990, when worldwide targets for climate were set, and ends with the speculative future weather scenarios of 2080.

'Weather the weather' is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between artist Ines Camara Leret, Dr George Adamson, Senior Lecturer in  Geography at King’s College London, and Dr Tamsin Edwards, Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography at King’s College London. Further support has been provided by the team at the John B. Thornes Laboratory: Dr Francis O’Shea, Bruce Main and Kate Olde, who have provided technical guidance.

See below to book which year you'd like to experience!
