Weave a Christmas Decoration with Straw Workshop

Learn a heritage craft this festive season and create a beautiful heart shaped woven straw decoration with expert straw grower and weaver Rosemary Sault. As seen in Countryfile magazine she is the UK’s main grower of special heritage long straw which is used in weaving. The straw used in the workshop is harvested in Staffordshire in a traditional way and gathered into sheaves before drying. You’ll be able to learn about this fascinating natural material and try out different weaving techniques, before adding the finishing touches such as ribbons and hanging loops to create a beautiful decoration – or two! Celebrate the season by joining us in our cosy studio in the Staffordshire countryside includes tea and coffee.
