Weave a paper boat with Nilupa Yasmin on the Ikon Slow Boat!

We're so excited to invite you to join us for a very special art workshop on the Ikon Slow Boat, a unique making space in a converted narrow boat. As we float down the canals in Birmingham, artist Nilupa Yasmin will teach us how to make our very own boats woven from paper.

This workshop is part of a Hospital Rooms project to create permanent artworks for inpatient CAMHS wards at Parkview Clinic, Birmingham. The ideas, conversations, and creativity shared during these sessions will help inspire Nilupa's artwork for the service.⁠⁠

This workshop is for young people aged 11-25 with lived experience of mental health services. This could mean you have accessed, are currently accessing, or are on the waiting list for NHS mental health services—or that you’re a friend or family member of someone who is. You are welcome to define this in your own way. All are welcome and no arts experience is necessary!

1) Book your place

Book a ticket for the workshop by clicking 'Register'. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis and waiting lists will open up in case spaces become available nearer the time.

2) No arts experience is necessary.
