This workshop, aimed for total beginners & intermediate level will teach you how to weave a colourful wall hanging on a portable frame loom! You will learn to set up your loom and play with colour and textures to your hearts content!
Amy will teach techniques and the theory of weaving angles, shapes, mixing colours and making tassels. You can either come up with a simple design on the spot or follow the same design as the whole class and play with different colours.
Wools, yarns, looms, scissors and colouring pencils will all be provided. You will go home with your first woven wall hanging and the option to buy a simple loom to keep weaving to your hearts content!

All tools will be provided, but if you have your favourite scissors, paper, colouring pencils and especially some yarns that you would like to play with then bring them to the class. This class is aimed at 18+ and please book promptly because spaces are limited to 10! Hen will have craft beers and cocktails available and great music! Weaving, cocktails and craft beers: what a combo!
Amy Ilic is a Woven Textiles designer and maker. She plays with the balance of simple timeless design and playful, graphic personality statements. She is very interested in where her materials come from and the welfare of animals, people and environment. Amy is currently investigating her style within fashion and accessories. She is intrigued by sharing skills and excited to collaborate with other makers to create beautiful one off pieces that will last a life time.
