About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Spend the day weaving your very own infinity scarf or cowl. You will be able to produce your own bespoke design as you will be able to choose from a large range of different yarns both natural and synthetic in a wide variety of lovely colours. As well as also being able to choose from a selection of weave structures which you can incorporate into your design.

Agnis will teach you how to use the 8 shaft table looms through group demonstrations as well as one to one support throughout the session and help you realise your own personal outcome.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. Every participant will have their own loom to use for the entire session and they will be set up with a warp and ready to use straight away, meaning you can focus on the design and weaving within the workshop.

All equipment and materials needed during the workshop are provided. Participants are welcome to bring along additional yarn to use within their project if they wish but this is not essential as plenty of yarn will be available to choose from.

You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch or eat out locally in Meanwood. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Agnis has been delivering weaving workshops for all ages for over a decade in Leeds and across Yorkshire. She is passionate about providing opportunities for participants to enjoy exploring traditional craft techniques for themselves.
