WEB 3135 Skilled Worker Changes 6 Months On
Overview
Level: Basic-Intermediate (a basic level of knowledge of the Skilled Worker route will be assumed)
Description: July 2025 brought wholesale changes to the Skilled Worker route, and an increase to the layers of transitional arrangements that apply to sponsored staff. This bite-sized interactive session takes delegates through the changes to Immigration Rules that have led to the current complexity of the route, focusing on a series of worked examples.
This course will not cover other sponsored work routes.
Type of course: An update for those with basic knowledge of the Skilled Worker route, looking at practical implications of the salary and skill threshold changes; navigating tables in Appendix Skilled Occupations, advising on supplementary work, extensions and paths to settlement for those on discounted salary options.

Course aim: Provide delegates with the confidence to receive instructions from potential Skilled Workers and their employers, mapping roles capable of sponsorship, advising on salary levels taking into account date of entry into this visa route to apply the complex transitional provisions of Appendix Skilled Worker
