WEB 3146 s4L Discretionary Registration for Adults (Bitesize)
Overview
Level: Intermediate-Advanced
Description:
In 2022, the British Nationality Act 1981 was amended by s4L, which now allows for the discretionary registration of adults as British citizens, in ‘special circumstances’.
This bitesize webinar helps practitioners advising on British citizenship to understand the ‘special circumstances’ under which applicants may be able to use the new s4L to register as British.
This course aims to share understanding and experience of the new s4L.
This webinar will cover s4L only and not other provisions to register or naturalise as a British citizen.
Audience: Practitioners advising on British citizenship.
Tutors: Diana Baxter, Partner at Wesley Gryk
Diana Baxter is a partner at Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP, a leading UK immigration firm. Diana regularly advises on complex citizenship matters.
