Event description
The annual Web Archiving Conference (WAC), organised by the IIPC and the National Library of Luxembourg.

About this event

About the Conference

The International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) has been organising its annual meetings for over 15 years. What started as a small get-together of web archiving enthusiasts from a dozen national libraries and the Internet Archive, has gradually become an important fixture in the web archiving calendar. We have been very fortunate that IIPC members have volunteered to host the events in Singapore, The Hague, Washington D.C., Ljubljana, Stanford, Reykjavík, London, Wellington, Zagreb and Ottawa.

This year’s events will be held online and are organised in partnership with the National Library of Luxembourg. The conference brings together world experts in web archiving and, while it usually attracts the international community of web archiving practitioners, it is intended for a wide audience including archivists, curators, software developers, researchers, and anyone interested in working with digital content.

WAC is followed by the 4th RESAW conference and together they form the Virtual Web Archiving Week in Luxembourg.

Platform

The conference will be held on a platform called Remo. All participants who register through this form, will receive instructions for setting up a Remo account. A Remo FAQ page will be available on the conference website.

Pre-Conference Workshops

Please note the workshops take place in the week preceding the conference (starting on 7 June 2021) and require separate registration.

All attendees of this event are expected to follow the IIPC Code of Conduct.

The 2021 Web Archiving Conference is free to attend.
